The Design Process

Initial Consultation (30 mile radius) ……….…………………….. No charge

Consult includes initial meeting at home or office, discussion of client’s wishes for the space and possible design solutions. When traveling outside the 30 mile radius, hourly fees and travel fees will apply.

Design Retainers

$450.00 (Minimum)………………………… charge up to 500 square feet

$700.00……………………………………… charge from 500 sq. ft. up to 1000 sq. ft.

Spaces over 1100 sq. ft. estimated on a $1.35/ sq. ft. basis

A Design Retainer may be charged as a “contract retainer”, or as full payment for specified projects. The Design Retainer may include, but is not limited to: space planning and furniture arrangements, finish schedules, furniture selections, fabric and wall paper selections, custom furniture and window treatment designs.  The design retainer does not include structural design of the building or the implementation of such by others.  Each design project is a unique creation and our sources of supply are a critical element of the design, therefore, we do not supply clients with this information.  The design retainer is not refundable. 

 Cabinetry  Design  (New Construction or Remodeling)

Our cabinetry design fee is $5.00 per square foot.  This fee may include, but is not limited to:  space planning, traffic flow evaluation, selection and placement of cabinetry and countertops, lighting, appliances, sinks and faucets, flooring, paint, wallpaper and accessories.  3-D drawings of the space will be provided. Kacey Myers, Interior Design will assist you in the selection of an outside contractor to perform the work but assumes no liability for workmanship, cost, cleanup, or length of time for the project to be completed.

Hourly Fees & Travel

Interior design services are also available to clients outside of the immediate area, and for smaller projects by the hour. Pricing for hourly fees and travel are based on each individual project's details. These may include: travel outside of the area, arranging existing furniture, hanging existing artwork, placing existing accessories and assisting you with your move-in.  This also covers any other service for a client’s particular needs including shopping with the client and field coordination of outside labor.

Payment Terms

Design Retainers are due prior to starting a project. Payment is due, in full, at the time services are rendered or custom orders are placed. Pricing is valid for 30 days from issuance of Estimate/Invoice. Items selected from retail spaces are paid for on acceptance. Any outside retail purchases will be charged at Cost + 20%. Additional retainers, hourly fees or deposits will be required if additions to the project are made.

Kacey Myers, Interior Design, and its employees, accept no responsibility for structural and all other defects related to or created by outside labor.  Clients are responsible for determining that all outside labor is done in accordance with building codes and other regulations.
